Abstract Artist

Anton Snyman is based in Cape Town, where he started exploring artistic abstraction as an outlet for personal development. Central to Anton’s work are his portraits, capturing highly personal content. He relies on the world within himself, often working in complete silence and creating these portraits from memories and emotions. The artwork demonstrates his experiences and mental states, expressing themes of vulnerability, conflict and isolation.

 

Abstract painting has seduced Anton with the greatest degree of commitment and provides him with a freedom to discover things authentically. “Part of my existence is to explore the uncomfortableness of darkness in an honest and daring way”.
